Located at the heart of Emilia, in the foothills of the Apennine mountains between Parma and Reggio Emilia, the Tenuta Venturini Baldini is an avant-garde agricultural estate. Since the beginning focused on sustainable farming, the estate has been certified organic since 1994, shortly after the legislation on organic production came into effect.
Today the estate produces award-winning organic wines, balsamic vinegar and olive oils, as well as being home to the Wine & Balsamic Relais Roncolo 1888.
A unique hill-side location, a rich terroir, and an ideal climate: with a conscious approach to natural resources, a strong link to the territory and its tradition as well as a spirit of innovation, we produce estate-grown organic wines that embody the diversity of Emilia. Located in the lands of Lambrusco, Venturini Baldini not only produces premium dry Lambrusco wines, but also focuses on rediscovering neglected or forgotten historical and autochthonous vines, such as Malbo Gentile, Spergola, or Lambrusco Montericco. A long-term project with love, passion and vision that aims at showing the diversity and quality of wines from Emilia.
Acetaia di Canossa
The Relais Roncolo 1888 is home to one of the largest and oldest vinegar cellars in the area, the historic acetaia of the Venturini Baldini estate, whose more than 400 barrels date back to the seventeenth century. The Acetaia of Canossa is warden of a precious historical and cultural heritage: the production of the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Reggio Emilia. Ours is the story of an ancient tradition, with its origins going to back to the time of Matilde di Canossa, where respect for time and patience are rewarded with this unique and timeless product. But our company prides itself in being innovative and modern. Today, our collection of condiments and balsamic pearls, the Goccia Collection and the Perla Collection are the result of these values together with our history and tradition.
The production of oil in Venturini Baldini has very distant origins. The confirmed presence of olive groves in the province of Reggio Emilia dates back to around 1,000 AD. and from 1850, there was the introduction of native olive trees to be planted in the area. Today the company has also given life to a production of extra virgin olive oil in a special and limited edition, Montelocco, so named after its place of origin, the fruit of native centenary olive trees, with origins dating back to the medieval period.

The agricultural estate produces organic wines, balsamic vinegars and extra virgin olive oils. All produce is exclusively estate-grown.
The Organic Estate
Our commitment to sustainability is deeply rooted in our being: from the very beginning the Venturini Baldini estate was run as an organic farm, and already in 1994, shortly after legislation about organic production came into force in Italy, the winery obtained its organic certification. For us, organic production is a sign of respect for the territory and the environment, a bond with the terroir that starts in the vineyards and extends into all the other areas of our estate. All of the vineyards owned by the family are cultivated organically, and this philosophy equally applies to our choice of partners and way of life on the estate. We strongly believe in the importance of a short supply chain, a circular economy, the use of traditional winemaking methods and grape varieties, and continuous innovation.
In keeping with the philosophy of Roncolo, the restaurant’s cuisine is directly linked to our territory, and its modern Emilian cuisine remains firmly anchored in the tradition of the Food Valley. Quality and freshness of raw materials are the very foundation of menus devoted to exalting Emilian and Italian excellence, and special attention is paid to the fresh and seasonal ingredients, that come from Roncolo’s organic garden or are provided by carefully selected local producers with whom there are continuing relations.

The Tenuta Venturini Baldini is a unique location and the perfect backdrop for your special occasion: weddings, private parties, executive retreats, business meetings, team-building or corporate events. With a highly personal service and tailored experiences, we are able to host small groups of 20-30 people to larger events of up to 200-500 people in our various indoors and outdoors venues.
